I think in the case of the episode, the manufacturer was aware that their guns could be modified easily to allow them to shoot more bullets, faster. So in this case, it seems like Remington is being accused of knowingly marketing their guns in a way to promote their use in mass shootings.

Seems like a stretch, but I don’t think gun manufacturers should be completely shielded from lawsuits and liabilities. There’s opportunity here, but both sides should tread cautiously.

Should the family of the woman killed in Charlottesville be able to sue Chrysler because James Fields was driving a Dodge?

Liberals pontificating about conservatism reminds me of the blind men describing an elephant.

Plenty of insults but not a single argument for why I was wrong that it is inappropriate for conservatives to pick winners and losers in the market. Conservatives routinely criticized Obama for doing just that in the energy sector, but when I point out that conservatives are doing the same thing they criticized Obama for, all I get back are insults about blind men and pontificating.

Our violent crime rate has dropped by over half in the last 20 years.

The one thing we know that works is keeping violent criminals in prison yet the big push is to dump them back onto the streets and allow illegal alien criminals to remain the country.

The manufacturer is not responsible for someone wakefully acquiring and using a rearm they produced.
