A Vermont-based newspaper begged Sen. Bernie Sanders to “not run” for the White House in 2020 over the weekend; saying his candidacy would likely split a “well-fractured Democratic Party” during a brutal primary season.

The Barre Montpelier Times Argus published their “unfavorable opinion” Saturday; saying “there are more things about another Sanders run at the White House that concern us than excite us.”

“Bernie Sanders should not run for president. In fact, we beg him not to,” writes the paper. “That is an unfavorable opinion, especially among most Vermonters and progressives who support the platform that has come to define him. But at this point, there are more things about another Sanders run at the White House that concern us than excite us.”

“We fear a Sanders run risks dividing the well-fractured Democratic Party, and could lead to another split in the 2020 presidential vote. There is too much at stake to take that gamble. If we are going to maintain a two-party system, the mandate needs to be a clear one,” adds the author.

For years the Democrat Party has pulled the Republican further and further to the left.
I would be shocked if Bernie didn’t run, because he is a Socialist and represents the far left wing base of the Democrats.

I just think that the paper is blowing smoke personally, because of what happened recently
with Bernie and the whole women scandal with him paying them less, he needs to lay low.

I think that while he’s “laying low” that Trump should try and find more faults within him and his systems of governing.
