Sanders cratering poll numbers

Well that’s total BS. I left home at 18 and made my own way forward on my own with zero help given or expected.

I may say without any whining either.

p.s. My children throw nothing at me. I raised them to know what work is and they are very happy and productive citizens. We are all very close as well.

The Bern must have lost his ability to cast hypnotic spells by waving his hands around as he speaks.

:snake:

That’s good, maybe that will give her the impetus to support Biden. Sanders’ followers are toxic, not all of them but a fair bit. And I am sure there are some trollbots sprinkled in there.

I do have a thing for Twitter I have said before, everyone has a vice mine is Twitter.

As far as Bernie and twitter goes the two places I look at

Bernie2020 - Has been the most active this year
Bernieorbust - Pretty much what is sounds like

If I was a liberal, I’d definitely vote for Tulsi. She’s smart and “with it,” and her defense policies are good. But I don’t think she has a prayer of winning because her poll numbers are so low.

Bernie has the worst fanbase; I concur. They are so far extreme, that any point of trying to have a discussion with them goes out the window. They aren’t open to different points of view. But then again, we’re talking the majority of his supporters are people my age, those who are either in college or just graduated from college. They don’t have the maturity to be able to agree to disagree.

That’s true, many people in the Boomer and Silent generations (and Gen X) have made something of themselves from scratch. However, there are some differences that made things easier for them- the dollar was worth much more back then, for example. It was easier to find housing, pay off medical bills, and get finances in order.

I do think, however, that society’s values have gone down the drain. Not that it was perfect during the 40’s and 50’s, but today people are so coddled that they grow up to have a sense of entitlement.

It didn’t seem easy but maybe it was a bit easier in some regards. Things were cheaper but pay was much lower. I started out at 1.60 an hour which was minimum wage. Was over 33 an hour when i retired.

Rent and such was much easier though i didn’t rent but a couple of years before buying a house. Took a lot of talking to talk the banker into it at my age back then. Was bout 21 or 22.

I think maybe health costs were easier back then as well though i was healthy and didn’t have many me bills back then.

I guess some things were better and some worse. I think the sense of entitlement was a huge difference. We had no sense of entitlement back then.

Are you really saying an event on mainstream media, all of which are failing and not drawing audiences suddenly had so much power.

I think Sanders’ decline can be attributed to the influence of one Bernie Sanders’ supporter – Donald John Trump. Its been obvious for a while that Trump was salivating at the thought fo Sanders as an opponent and this desire was reinforced when Trump’s own intelligence people reports that Putin has been using his influence on Sanders’ behalf as well. (Remember: Sanders responded by denouncing the Russian; Trump responded by denouncing the news media for reporting it.)

As it has become increasingly clear that Trump and his allies in the Senate and the conservative media were doing everything they could to ensure a race against Sanders and not Biden…

Basically, Trump tipped his hand and Democratic voters have seen this clearly.

One day I would love to play poker with Donald Trump; the higher the stakes the better. The best opponent is one who overestimates his abilities.

$40,000 stipend for office furniture.

Office furniture.

How many people in this country live off of less than $40,000 a year?

People seriously overestimated Bernie’s support! The only way Bernie had a chance was if there were multiple people splitting the center-left vote. I don’t think people realize that a lot of Democrats voted for Bernie in 2016 because they were simply voting against Hillary!!!

I doubt that. Most young people that I talk to think that police and fire departments are socialism.

On Super Tuesday evening, there was a news report from UC Irvine, showing an enthusiastic crowd of 300-400 students lined up around the building, waiting to vote. I would have been so proud of them, had it not been 3 minutes until the polls closed.

I’m genuinely curious to know what statistics would back that up? Consumer goods sales demographics? Spending vs. savings?

I would have thought it was Boomers.

Of course you would.

So…you’re working from a hunch. Very presidential.

Good point. Hillary doesn’t get it either with her recent comment that Bernie is not well liked.

My thought was look who’s talking!
