Sanctuary Cities, Good? Or Bad?

Do you have a notation/link with this assertion?

Taxes are not the problem Stagnant wages, and out of control healthcare insurance costs are the problem.

Also, the article has little to do with your post.

Welcome to the forum!

Come on Luke Wilson average intelligence:) jk … I never saw it just remember the trailer is it worth watching?

It’s a Mike Judge movie, so if you liked Beavis and Butthead or King of the Hill then yes.

Hrm I will pass.

I’d say it’s more like Office Space than Beavis and Butthead.

I always forget he did Office Space. Yeah it’s a lot more like that.

My biggest problem with illegal immigration is that it is ripe for oppression. Do illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities make the average wage in those cities, or are they a means for cheap labor that props up the economy via exploration?

Ugh. Exploitation.

This is what I don’t understand. Liberals love the illegals, but don’t want them deported or punished… only those who hire them. Or don’t they even want that anymore?

How’s the crime rate where you live?

Personally, I’d prefer raising a family not where gangs are.

“to each is their own.”

I hate to point out the obvious but if you have full coverage you are covered for uninsured drivers.

We can agree on this.

Why are you pretending welfare is a luxury. Are you on welfare? I’m guessing that you are not.

Well that’s like night and day difference, I liked office space.

Liberal Socialist Democrats don’t care about the safety or welfare of the country.
All they care about is the vote. They realize is they allow millions of refugees and illegals
to come into America, that the Democrats will hand out free welfare and food stamps,
and only ask for them to vote Democrat in return. Of course sooner than later the Dems can’t just keep printing money.

Dover, NJ. the place where i have lived for last 27 years.

Low crime.

Liberals have basic compassion for human beings looking to improve their lives, and given the choice between deporting someone who is already here, or bringing them out of the shadows so they can contribute to society and receive the same legal protections as the rest of us, then we would choose the latter. However, because this situation creates so many legal and moral pitfalls, the most effective way to slow down the flow of illegal immigration for many people is to crack down on businesses that hire them. It’s not really a conflicting opinion.

Oh and moving to Altoona,IA when I retire.

More crime but cost of living is cheaper.

While giving the ones already here amnesty. That answer just glosses over doing anything with those who are already illegally here.

sure, why not? They could be paying taxes and integrating their children. What’s the advantage of a touchback policy? Keep in mind that the evidence suggests illegal immigration probably has a net positive impact on the economy. It’s murky, but the best range of outcomes is anything from a few billion dollars in expense, to several billion dollars in gain, with the mean likelihood falling in the “gain” column.
