Look, corruption in the government today is broad and it is deep. Since Congress determines if and when we go to war, that means the Democrat-majority Congress can always draft people at their leisure. Pelosi and her minions can decide who to send to war. This is why Nixon and LBJ don’t sit right with a lot of people.

My two cents, not that anyone cares. But I do accept that at times the needs of the country do require us to do our part in war. I accepted that in the pretty safe 90s, but knew it was a possibility And I can’t think of a reason why women shouldn’t also.

They would have been wiped out at First Bull Run. The South would have won in a month.

I would repeal the draft completely, making the military voluntary. If you can’t get enough people to go to war, and have to “reap” them, chances are you should rethink getting into a war that the people don’t support. The people are not pawns of the government.

We drafted 10 million men during WWII. Should we not have done that? Do you speak German? How about Japanese? Without a draft, you would be.

Yep. The picture that was painted for the public was lines of patriots volunteering to serve, but the fact is over 60% were drafted.
