Good question - what is trump doing to prevent this from happening again? He doesn’t even admit publicly it was russia that hacked the DNC.
Some people did something. Some people will do more things.

Congresses big plan is to prevent Russian operatives from entering the country to interfere with our elections, “as if” that’s they way they did it before! Congress has no plans on how to deal with Facebook or Twitter! “the Russians are coming” idiotic rhetoric until we are actual at war with Russia, lets just hope it’s another “cold war” and not a nuclear war!

It is, without a doubt, impossible to know who Russia truly favored in the 2016 election. Maybe they advocated for Donald Trump here and there, but there could very well be evidence that they also supported Hillary Clinton. We know for a fact that Hillary Clinton would have been better for the Russian government because of her lack of experience in foreign policy. Therefore, it is logical to conclude that Putin might have wanted her to win. We will never know.
