Most Democratic presidential candidates are now publicly embracing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ once-radical agenda; backing the ‘Green New Deal,’ Medicare for All, and other far-left proposals considered politically impossible just years ago.
“A year after the former bartender shot to prominence with an upset primary win over establishment Democrat Joe Crowley, many of her hard-left campaign planks are now gospel among top 2020 hopefuls,” reports Fox News.
“We must have and adopt a Green New Deal,” Sen. Kamala Harris said during Wednesday night’s debate.
“Further, Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., backs a federal jobs guarantee, another plank that AOC’s campaign site endorsed on the basis that ‘anyone who is willing and able to work shouldn’t struggle to find employment,’” adds Fox.
Ocasio-Cortez found herself at the center of another anti-Israeli controversy this week; suggesting poor Americans “riot” like Palestinians here in the United States.
“Once someone doesn’t have access to clean water they have no choice but to riot. Right?” she said. “But it doesn’t have to be that way. I’m not even just talking about Palestinians, I’m talking about communities in poverty in the United States, I’m talking about Latin America, I’m talking about all over the world.”
“The same way me criticizing Trump doesn’t make me anti-American, criticizing the occupation doesn’t make you anti-Israel, frankly. It doesn’t make you against the existence of a nation,” she added.
Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her vitriolic rhetoric regarding the Middle East peace process in a recent interview; saying she absolutely agrees with the host’s criticism of the “criminal” Israeli government and other “White Supremacist Jews.”

“There’s a lot of young Jewish people that I know that are absolutely against the occupation and I wanted you, because often on this program, we have the freedom to address the fact that something that you know people, it’s an oxymoron, how do you have white supremacist Jews? How do you have people like Stephen Miller? How do you have these individuals who are legit aligning with racism and white supremacy, but they’re Jewish and it’s something that most people can’t wrap their brains around. But it’s a real thing and what’s going on with Israel and Palestine, while it’s very deep, it is very, very criminal. It is very, very unjust,” said ‘EBRO in the morning.’
“Absolutely, and I think to where we’re at as a country when it comes to Israel-Palestine is very much a generational thing. I think that when we start looking at it through that lens, a lot of this stuff starts to make sense. It’s like what you’re talking about, young Jews in Israel are sick of this,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
