He used an emergency declaration absolutely appropriately and legally to secure the border and stop the waves of caravns that were creating a public health and humanitarian emergency on our border and that use of emergency authority was approved by the SCOTUS.

Every authority involved in dealing with that surge on the border said it was an emergency and provided the data to support it.

Please. It was pure politics.

Sanders as POTUS? Interesting, he would become the CIC of the US Armed Forces. Sanders claimed to be a “pacifist” during the Vietnam War applying for “conscientious objector” status.
Hopefully the House flips and Congress would be a Republican majority.
I think Sanders winning the WH will tear this country apart. But that is what Sanders and his liberal-socialist extremist ideologue cronies are hoping for.

It would obviously leave zero candidates on both sides of the aisle, opening the way for younger candidates. Trump, Biden, et al, can run for president of their nursing homes.

No, the immediate emergency ended when a combination of actions from building the wall to requiring asylees to remain in Mexico to expedited Asylum hearings and returns cut the flow allowing the system to catch up.

We would be utterly foolish to return to the conditions which precipitated that unprecedented rush on the border allowing for a repeat.
