The show was popular with viewers, got high ratings, and, well, loose lips sink ships.
She was asked by network executives to focus on her show and less on political comments on social media, and she blew it.

Roseanne has a long history of saying and doing controversial and hateful things.
For example, she said everyone who eats at Chik Fil A deserves cancer. Then there is a picture of her dressed as Hitler with a pan full of cookies out of the oven. Plus she’s promoted insane conspiracy theories such as pizza gate.
I feel sorry for the rest of the cast as well as the production crew, who are now out of work through no fault of their own. I enjoyed seeing Sarah Gilbert and John Goodman again.
Plus her show was one of the few I watched as it was an honest depiction of middle class America.
Roseanne got what she deserved, too bad for the rest of us.
