On whatever day the Treasury can get them out.
Since when did five days become two weeks?

It didn’t. There never was a trump virus. It’s the china virus, & could be partially the democrat virus, since so many of them ORDERED the death of 45 thousand old people in nursing homes.
Sorry South Dakotans. Your Governor says no soup for you.
A major loophole in Donald Trump’s executive order on unemployment: Your governor must agree to take the money.
South Dakotans who have lost their jobs will get $0, because Trump ally Kristi Noem said no.

7.2% unemployment rate, with unemployment claims continuing to rise week-over-week. And with Sturgis moving forward as it did, we shall see if the fallout has any repercussions on the economy there. Hope and pray.
Noem has now given the rest of the Republican-led States the “out” they needed to also reject this unilateral order from Trump. Good luck to folks out of work, in SD and beyond! Things are going to get very, very challenging in the next few weeks/months.

They don’t need it and the rest of the governors don’t need an out. You are completely misreading the situation.

Todays Republican bill should have passed. Period.
The Dems passed on in the house (in MAY!!!)
Took the Republicans way to long, but they finally passed on in the senate. Not a great bill -But the way its suppose to work is the house passes a bill, then the senate passes their version, then there is a committee to negioate the bills and then it goes back for a vote in both.
Step 1 is house passes (Done)
Step 2 is senate passes. Dems were wrong.
Crossing your arms and refusing to negoiate is NOT principaled. Its a temper tantrum. Regardless which side does it. The Republicans have been dragging their feet for months. They finally got one passed. Dems were wrong to hold it up. Im not saying the bill was perfect (or even good). And im not saying it should have become law. I AM saying it was fine as a starting point and we should not be moving on to a committe bewteen the house and senate that forces negioation to get a final bill.
Well, Floridians are now going back to having one of the weakest unemployment insurance programs in the country.
8 weeks from the election, will this matter in which candidate carries the state in November?
More bad news for the citizens of South Dakota and their derelict Governor who wanted to pretend like her blasé attitude towards COVID would somehow protect her citizens from this highly virulent and deadly pandemic. Shame on her. I’m sending prayers out to the people of South Dakota that they survive this horrific abdication of duty from their elected leaders.
There are currently no open general-care hospital beds in the southeastern part of the state, which contains the two largest hospitals, according to the Department of Health.
“We have triple the amount of testing that we are doing in the state of South Dakota, which is why we’re seeing elevated positive cases,” Noem said. “That’s normal, that’s natural, that’s expected.”
The Republican governor did not explain how an increase in hospitalizations would be connected to an increase in testing. The state has also seen one of the nation’s highest positivity rates for testing in the last 14 days, according to Johns Hopkins researchers. The roughly 23% positivity rate is an indication there are more infections than tests are indicating.
