I started a thread in politics about Trump’s comments on Reiner and his wife’s murder because I believe it’s important to consider how our leaders respond to tragedies that affect Americans.
That thread was merged with this one.
I think standing silent while trump spews garbage about a great artist would be disrespecting Reiner.
The more you let the loud mouth bully’s words go unchallenged, the more people think they are right, true and respectable.

You have every thread in the Politics sub-forum to do that. We don’t need to do it here. The murder of the Reiners by their son has nothing to do with Trump (in spite of what he might say.) Show some genuine respect to them. Trashing Trump goes on 24/7. We all know how you all feel about him. There is no need to do it here too.

Celbs disenfranchise half their fans when they get political.

Yep, those three are on my “used to like but now can’t stand” list too.
Memorials and funerals are no place to hold anyone accountable, not even the actual killer. There is a proper time and place for doing that, but it’s not appropriate here.
What “accountability” are you looking for?

No … I’ve shown why they should not have been merged. Inserting Trump’s name into a thread will always derail the topic and wind up making it just another trash Trump thread.
This is exactly why the Outside the Beltway sub-forum was created … to provide a place to discuss things that aren’t political. I am disappointed in whichever Mod did this.

Others blatantly telling political message board members to not discuss and moving a political thread to a non political section is a weak deflection and cover for the slob. But, that’s mod prerogative.
