This isn’t a scam.

It would take a special kind of stupid to look at this mailer and conclude it’s the census. And even more stupid to conclude that the census requires someone to send in money to the RNC.

When I listen (rarely) to AM talk radio I hear ads for emergency food, gold, divorce attorneys for men that need to protect their assets, and ED treatments.

Please, folks, don’t break my faith in the intelligence and common sense of the average person – of any political stripe.

You know those scam calls from the “Social Security Administration”, calling to tell you your Social Security Number has been “suspended”, and that you need to call them immeditely (and send them giftcards) to fix it?

I would hope that no one is stupid enough to fall for those - and yet, people do every day.

Do the people making those calls disclose they aren’t the US government? Because the fund raising letter in question did on the third line of the first page, in large print.
