An indictment filed Wednesday alleges a media company linked to six conservative influencers — including well-known personalities Tim Pool, Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson — was secretly funded by Russian state media employees to churn out English-language videos that were “often consistent” with the Kremlin’s “interest in amplifying U.S. domestic divisions in order to weaken U.S. opposition” to Russian interests, like its war in Ukraine.
I can’t tell you how often these people wind up in my X feed.
If FARA or securities laws were broken, prosecute the guilty. Why is there a picture of Trump on the story? he had nothing to do with it? Leftist propaganda? When do we indict the BBC?
Oh I know how they generate money. The large large majority of their followers are Trump/conservatives supporters. They are prominent on X and YouTube. Just because a handful of forum conservatives don’t know who they are and a handful of informed libs do… doesn’t mean we are “funding” them.
To be fair, I do the same thing when I see bands that I’ve never heard of sell out stadiums. How is it possible they are so popular and I’ve never heard of them?
Uninformed or Not interested. It doesn’t make them any less influential. They each have millions of followers on X and YouTube.
Forum libs are definitely a little more curious about Republican politics and influencers… which makes sense because we are here… on this corner of the internet… debating mostly conservatives.
