Resistance warriors & France’s Culture Minister Defend Movie Cuties

That first amendment sure is a bitch sometimes, isn’t it?

Well you aren’t paying for it so win-win I guess. I guess you could boycott Netflix. Oh wait.

This movie actually might had opened a pandora’s box. Seeing how its mostly those types on twitter that usual defend it and cheer for censorship on other things.

If you say so. I don’t frequent twitter so I wouldn’t know.

I do question the wisdom of filming it, but unless they’re breaking laws there’s really no grounds to ban such content. Netflix didn’t have to carry it, so consumers are making their objections known.

No foul then.

The free market at work. Not seeing the downside here.

I’m not either. I imagine it will be quite a while until another streaming service tries something similar.

The movie isn’t against twerking.

But people who saw it know that.

This is a manufactured moral panic.

Now?

There are quite a few movies where girls are sexualized in way more disturbing ways than this one.

Let’s start with Taxi Driver.

Thirteen with Evan Rachel Wood is another example.
