That’s true. He was direct and straightforward about explaining to Lester Holt that he fired Comey because of the Russian collusion investigation, which Trump has always maintained is illegitimate. Actually I respect Trump for that even though the statement had a great deal to do with the appointment of Mueller. Had he dissembled and referred to the Rosenstein memo there very possibly would have been no appointment of Mueller. You can say he was stupid or that he chose not to take the coward’s way out.

This is a reasonable response. And not only to Lester Holt, but to Russian Diplomats in the oval office!

The meeting was set up explicitly regarding “dirt” on Hillary by a hostile foreign government.

So? Its done all the time in campaigns and the Hillary campaign and the DNC actually “paid” foreigners to make up “dirt” on President Trump, as in the dossier which is what the SCAM of Mueller’s investigation is based on. It is disheartening to see what has become of the Republican Party. There was a time I thought there was hope for it, as I tried to work to improve things in my neck of the woods. They took the wrong path in 2016, and are continuing down the wrong path currently. That 420,000 dollars paid over 12 months to hide it as consulting constitutes an acknowledgement of the initial crime, plus, more importantly, laundering of campaign money THROUGH THE TRUMP ORGANIZATION, and likely involved the assent of the President. They basically turned the Trump Organization into a slush fund for the campaign. Sound familiar?

There’s a reason the CFO was granted immunity and I think that reason is to be able to describe the President’s knowledge and likely state of mind.
