Both of my parents, FDR Democrats to the core, were racist. Not in the hateful way that most people envision the word to mean, but rather in a benevolent way. Mom would say things like “he drives so well for a black man.” And Dad would go out of his way to help blacks and natives because “they are not very smart and thus need my help.” Biden falls into that category of racist.
