The poster came back and said “No -If you listen to ALL of Lee Atwater it will prove the Southern Strategy was fake”

and now you post a link to the full audio of Lee Atwater who said the Southern Strategy was real, was huge, and was in effect for the entire 70’s but Regan himself didn’t use it.

So this proves that Lee Atwater believed the Republican Party used the southern Strategy and was huge in 60’s and 70’s based on race and that Regan didn’t use it.

Yeah…if you put that much reliance on Atwater. I just don’t see not wanting court ordered busing as a racist position…It might have been a southern strategy but not racist.
That wasn’t very popular elsewhere, either, though.

You could’ve been against busing and still not courting racists votes, but if you were courting racists vote, you better be against busing.

Not only were they slaughtered wholesale they were then herded into reservations for nearly a century and those living on them were the poorest people in the US.

Everything they had was stolen from them.

Blacks of course are free to return to Africa at anytime. That option doesn’t exist for American Indians does it?
