Wow. After 10 replies or so, this thread went full rathole.
It’s a great example of why a guy like Petersen doesn’t want personal religion to be a campaign issue.
I find Petersen to be a fascinating candidate. The guy is strong in his principles and willing to be outspoken and to rock the Establishment’s boat. (Note: He even rocked the Libertarian boat in 2016 when he was willing to stand on his principles.) It doesn’t hurt his case with me that he is non-religious. He stands on a wealth of conservative principles that are built on libertarian roots – and that’s a rare political creature for sure! I’d take him over most other more traditional (and assertedly religious) politicians out there.
