The population of China and neighboring East Asian countries have had incredibly low infection rates with low vaccination rates, but now some are starting to see a sudden spike in cases. For example here are reports from Taiwan:

“As of 21 June 2021, 1.6 million doses have been administered in Taiwan.” The population is 23.8 million so less than 10% of the population has been vaccinated.

You can’t even read your own link.

The number of cases that are in vaccinated people pretty much matches the statistical expectation.

We knew the vaccine was only about 80 or so percent effective against the Delta variant, so what we’re seeing in Israel is not unexpected.

This is what happens when people who don’t understand statistics try to make a post about them.

And it’s also a warning as to why we should stop screwing around with trying to get infections under control. Because variants are going to pop up that the vaccine will be less effective against.

But by all means, keep scaring people with your lack of understanding of statistics.

Yep… and we would not have learned a ■■■■■■■ thing from 2020.

The vaccination rate was low in Israel?

The variant didn’t come from Israel.

No, and unlike what the OPer is trying to claim, the data shows that vaccination is a good thing, not a bad thing.

The case rate in the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated is pretty much what we would expect to see given what we know about the effectiveness of the vaccine against the Delta variant.

The OPer screwing that up is putting forth an idea that we shouldn’t vaccinate people.

Then it doesn’t matter, does it?

You sound mad

When people use their ignorance to spread silliness?

Everyone should be mad.

Figure it out…you’re smart guy.

You have. I didn’t get mad at you.

I always love it when you bring the humor.

It’s not humor.

In case no one has figured it out yet.

Which tells me large groups of people whether it is culture, tribal, religious or whatever other reason is refusing to get vaccinated. And then bring it into place of worship or living rooms of large families/relatives etc.

Again…I call BS on source of this OP information. Specially when they’re advocating bring back mask mandates. A agenda is behind it.

Edit to add…nothing against OP BillinPa. It’s your information.

This is bad news. This has nothing to do with an “experimental” vaccine. The vaccine has been extremely successful against the virus it was designed for. It’s a virus mutating naturally and in this case becoming more virulent.

I shudder to think what will happen if a more virulent variant were to take hold in the US. You have COVID fatigue and a whole bunch of governors who will be hesitant to restore any of the previous protective measures. Those who downplayed the virus the first time around, don’t believe in masks or social distancing will be even more unlikely to tolerate mandates, wear masks or social distance. Many of those people will get sick, some will die. It approaches a worst case scenario. Hope it doesn’t happen.

The virus is going to run it’s course. Man is not in control.

JERUSALEM, June 24 (Reuters) – The Pfizer-BioNTech >PFE.N< (22UAy.DE) vaccine is highly effective against the Delta variant of COVID-19, a Pfizer official in Israel said on Thursday.

You guys see what they’re attempting to do with this fake math? See how they’re manipulating it to say something that it doesn’t?

In fact that twitter link been taken down.

Right…every vaccinated person that catches covid is an opportunity for the virus to mutate into a variant the vaccine doesn’t prevent against.

Arrogance IMO.

Indeed. Born of authoritarian high modernism.
