Reported US vaccine-related deaths exceeded COVID deaths last week

No problem.

Even full two dose effectiveness is only 88% for Pfizer (less for AZ).

Since AZ is given in the UK and not the US, wouldn’t be surprising to see more breakthrough cases in the UK than here where we predominately have gotten Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.

The one thing the vaccines seem to be close to fully effective against, though, is the development of serious illness.

Which is why close to all the new hospitalizations and deaths now are unvaccinated people.

Yes, then there is no pandemic of COVID among the unvaccinated either.

The number of COVID deaths and the number of vaccine-related deaths are at best crude estimates based on flawed data.

A better way to analyze vaccine-related deaths would be to compare the death rate for a period of time after have receiving a dose of vaccine to the expected death rate for the same time period. The increase in the number of deaths is a good estimate of the number of deaths caused by the vaccine.

Individual deaths rarely can be assigned to the vaccine. For example, the death of an older person from a blood clot or a heart attack may be the result of the vaccine or it may be a just a random coincidence.

On the other hand, if the number of deaths from blood clots is well above the expected value, then it shows that the vaccine is most likely responsible for the excess deaths.

Please stop spreading vaccine disinformation.

FYI I reported the OP post because it is not accurate. We shouldn’t be spreading vaccine disinformation here.

Will Biden order drone attacks on people who publicly disagree with him?

After all their “disinformation” is killing people.

I doubt it. Seems drastic.

I think he’ll start with calling out the ■■■■■■■■ like the stuff in your OP, see how that goes.

Why do you reckon the whole trump clan is vaccinated if it’s so god damn dangerous?

For older adults the risk from vaccination is small compared to the risk of the disease. The risks of COVID for children and college-age adults is tiny to begin with, so they could reasonably choose to avoid the vaccination. In any case, people should be allowed to make an informed choice.

Interestingly I would make the case that Trump reluctance to push the vaccine is saving lives. Rural persons of color are among the least likely to get the shot. The same is true for young adults. Both groups are most likely to believe media propaganda that anything Trump supports is dangerous or evil, so Trump keeping quiet means that more people are getting the shots who need it.

The risk is that they continue to spread the virus among the population.

That is a bad risk to take compared to the vaccine.

Arrest trump for making vaccine that kill people.

In addition, the larger the population that is allowed to “breed”, the larger the number of mutations. The more mutations, the more likely a strain will evolve that nullifies the effect of the vaccination.

WW

The new variants are mutating to spread faster in those who are vaccinated. See post 52. Should the UK stop their vaccination program since new cases are going up in the vaccinated population while they are dropping in the unvaccinated?

In the long term viruses tend to become more contagious, but less deadly over time. COVID is likely to evolve into a cold virus.

Your post 52 shows nothing of the kind.

No there is a pandemic amongst the unvaccinated.

They are the ones showing up in hospitals and dying right now.

And you are the one jumping to conclusions about preliminary VAERS data and now telling us to “wait and see”?

You’re all over the map, dude.

it seems to be a calculated attempt to promote distrust and hysteria.

Make sure you also let Biden and Kamala and Puh-saki know. They will want to get their minions on this right away.

I’m sure there is a reward in there somewhere.

Here is an image from the Daily Mail link:

New cases in unvaccinated Britons peaked about two week ago, but cases in the vaccinated are still going up quickly.

The number of deaths is very low compared the peaks early in the pandemic. The virus appears to have evolved to bypass the vaccines, but it is much less lethal.

Delta is just getting started….way too early to make a judgement.

“At least one dose”…one dose of Pfizer and AZ gets you only 33% protection. Two doses gets you about 88% from Pfizer…about 60% from AZ.

UK has a lot of AZ vaccine that’s been distributed.

Nothing in these numbers is either surprising or “nefarious”.

Add to that the bulk of new hospitalizations and new deaths are unvaccinated.

The vaccinations appear to reduce the risk of death from COVID infections at least for now.

On the other hand, 100% of vaccine-related deaths are in people who were vaccinated.

The government is doing its best to hide the risk-benefit trade off for different elements of the population. The vaccine may make perfect sense for an overweight 70-year-old, but no sense for 16-year-old boy in good health. We need less censorship, not more.

They are doing no such thing.
