Controversial Congresswoman Ilhan Omar took a cheap shot at two top-tier presidential candidates this week; saying it would be “tragic” for her party to nominate former Vice President Joe Biden or South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

“If you had to pick one? If one of them is the candidate for your party, who would you rather it be?” asked The Intercept podcast host Mehdi Hasan.

“So you’re saying if something tragic happens and they ended up being the nominee?” asked Omar.

In an interview with @mehdirhasan, Rep. @IlhanMN said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg helped placed a target on her back. https://t.co/zt6BJWcluh

Ilhan Omar -and fellow ‘Squad’ members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib- officially endorsed Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination last weekend.

.@BernieSanders isn’t fighting to win just one presidential election — he’s fighting for the soul of our democracy.
