Exactly. They look to our goverment the same way a Christians looks to Jesus, Muslims look to Muhammad…specially when Obama was pres.

That was noticeably clear during those 8 years.

Yes…you invoked a false dichotomy…either faith in God or faith in man.

Those aren’t the only choices.

There’s the answer, thank you. It’s helpful in trying to understand where your collective is coming from.

Well, no I didn’t, but ok. What else is there?

Sorry…the left doesn’t have faith in men.

So it must be the goverment.

I believe so. Not that I agree with it but believe they have the right. Just like we have the right to not go there and let them go bankrupt.

Seems we have a divergence of opinion:

Which is fine - there’s no real uniformity of opinion, even on one’s own side.

So in your opinion conan, are leftists worshipping government as though it were as sentient as a god?

Not to harp on the point overmuch, but if the baker would have still refused the gay couple even after they announced that they were Christian, how is it not about religion? That seems to imply that the baker’s refusal is based on whether the couple are living in accordance with the precepts of the baker’s faith.

legally America has zero tolerance for religious in the public space, personal I’m cool with religion in public spaces if all religion have access equally.

does the right worship the state when they are in control?

There are most certainly aspects of the state the right elevates to the level of worship, to be sure.

Well, that’s not true at all. Legally.

Did that 9/11 mosque ever get built?

Such as.

how so, last time I checked the government crack down on state endorsement of religion. I have no issue with public display of religion we have them everywhere in Canada.

everyone loves the government when they are in control of it.

You had the right, but lost it with public accommodation laws because the general public couldn’t treat black people as equals.

The government protected the cake maker’s rights, how is that a good example?

I don’t. In my America government is neither seen nor heard.
