Of course, Democrats have created political prisoners and internment camps before. Wilson sent antiwar Socialist leader, Eugene Dobs, to prison for speaking out against the draft in WW1. The Roosevelt Administration interned tens of thousands of Japanese Americans in WW2. There was widespread support among Democrats for similar camps for the unvaccinated.
There has been silence from the Biden State Department after Canada’s parliament greeted a literal Waffen SS veteran as a war hero. Apologists explain celebrating someone’s wartime service that included that taking an oath the Fuehrer and fighting for him in WW2 is not a necessarily a bad thing.
