I saw it. It’s about when dimocrats were in complete control of the south enforcing their jim crow laws and segregation.
There was no hunting.
It is about the murder of three Civil Rights workers and the subsequent investigation. Deflection fail.

Not in this movie. All of their “elites” are white folk. It’s the story they chose to tell.

So let’s talk history. Summer of 1964: Democratic President and Robert Kennedy-led DOJ are working to protect Civil Rights workers in Mississippi while the Republican Presidential candidate was running in opposition to the Civil Rights Act that was before Congress.
This laid the groundwork for the Segregationist Democrats to massively shift to the Republican Party over the next eight years.
And when the local white supremacists chases down the car that James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Mickey Schwerner we’re driving in… how can you say they weren’t being hunted?

Name all of the Republicans in power in Mississippi at the time this happened.
The shift from Democrat to Republican occurred 1966-1974. Richard Nixon named this the “southern strategy”. The Democrat’s southern wing was the party of white supremacy from 1868 to 1968. The Republicans have been the party of white supremacy for the past fifty years.
