The national unemployment rate among Hispanic and Latino-Americans plummeted to the lowest level on record in June, according to new statistics released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics this week.
The stunning data released by the BLS shows the unemployment rate among Hispanic-Americans aged 16 and up fell to 4.6%; down from 4.9% in May.
The previous record was 4.8% back in 1973.
“While the Hispanic-Latino unemployment rate had been as low as 4.8% in five months, four of those months were during the administration of President Donald Trump; the lone exception being October of 2006,” writes CNS News.
The Hispanic-Latino unemployment rate was 5.9% in January of 2017, the month President Trump took office.
