Senator Rand Paul took his war with former CIA Director John Brennan to the next level this week, saying he will soon ask President Trump to “revoke” his security clearance after he accused the Commander-in-Chief of “treason.”
Paul posted his intentions on social media Monday morning, saying “Today I will meet with the President and I will ask him to revoke John Brennan’s security clearance."
The Senator’s comments come just days after Brennan unloaded on President Trump over his historic Helsinki Summit, saying his press conference “exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’" against the American people.
Long time ago I respected Rand Paul, even liked him as a politician, but not any more.
He has become a two legged weasel, but that is OK, he has shown he has at least two faces.
His pretense at “taking a principled stand” in Congress against the Republican-Trump agenda then always caving at the last minute and voting for it; along with things like his saying he supported killing American’s by drones on our streets, without due process! Well, that really was a hard strike on the wedge splitting me off from supporting him. Of course the weasel walked back his comments about using the drones, but the fact he even exercised that thought, before the blow back, and way before the walk back was too much.
Rand Paul asking the president to revoke Brennan’s Security clearance is a case of the whiny little weasel demanding kibble from the whiny little man-child commander in chief.
If Fat Donald wasn’t president he could never ever gain a Government Security Clearance.
If Rand Paul wasn’t such a two legged weasel and Trump suck up he would know that and not be caught in a position of asking our whiny man-child president to revoke anyone’s Security Clearance.
I remember a time when the Conservatives I knew were principled people.
They believed in a free press, even for the tabloids.
They didn’t believe in “permanent tax cuts for the wealthy” with soon to expire “tax cuts for everyone else”.
They didn’t believe in sleeping with the enemy, and or praising Russian dictators or North Korean dictators, while calling American justice agencies enemies or worse, or calling for the destruction of persons and medias simply because they don’t kiss the president’s ass.
They didn’t spend their time tweeting lies and telling lies at every press conference, without remorse or any conflict of conscience.
They had integrity, or at least tried to.
They didn’t fill the halls of the White House with ne’er do wells who can’t obtain security clearances.
They didn’t threaten to take us to thermal nuclear war over nothing so deserving.
They didn’t behave like this so called president we now have befouling the Oval Office.
