Progressives… according to you… were moving away from freedom by fighting for gays to get the same rights as heteros?

Marriage as done in this country isn’t a freedom, it’s a restriction. Freedom would be the government not knowing or caring if I were married and certainly not making me obtain a license to do so. And yes the way progressives went about it is anti-freedom, changing the law by redefining the words making the law instead of changing the law.
