People can put whatever they like in their own bodies, drink Drano, that’s materially different than having a business selling Drano cocktails.

Yes, I have no problem with friends playing poker. Those are even odds for all involved. No gambling business would survive without skewing the odds in their favor.

How would that be enforced? It couldn’t be.

Why shouldn’t they skew the odds in their favor?

How is that any different than a retailer marking up goods over the wholesale price?

Only in the minds of progs. They pretend though. They are the furtherest ideology from liberalism that one can get.

Their authoritarianism is the key to seeing that that are not liberals in any sense of the word.

You get something for your money. It’s not based on a lie, they aren’t peddling the idea you can win while making sure you can’t, the vast majority of the time.

Is not the whole point of outlawing the selling of Drano cocktails because its bad for people to drink Drano? Would you be okay with someone handing out Drano cocktails for free?

No, they can hand them out for free provided their lethal ingredient is disclosed. Allowing people to profit from it is different, it incentivizes the behavior. Are you really making the case businesses should be able to sell cocktails made from Drano? I don’t ever want to hear you propose any other business regulation.

Why shouldn’t gambling businesses have the freedom to skewer the odds?

Ask all the bookies and mob guys the government has jailed over the years.

Why not? Require receipts and do audits.

So when she pays the rent? Or buys a car for her boyfriend?

Does this mean you support making any product that can be harmful or addictive to consume illegal to be sold?

Of course not, I’m on the side of “Freedom with common sense restrictions”. Sounds like you are too albeit with some different opinions on what those restrictions should be.

Why not?

Impossible and you know it.

I disagree with your opinion on what I know or don’t know. It’s impossible to get receipts for paying rent and buying a car? If she’s running a legal independent business, why can’t it be investigated as one like we do with other businesses?

We don’t prohibit other business people from paying their rent or buying cars for their boyfriends. We do prohibit them from making having sex with strangers part of the job description. I can see it now, legal prostitution, new job description, secretary/prostitute.

Why are we prohibiting them from paying their rent or buying a car for their romantic partners?

I don’t get what you’re trying to say here. I think we should legalize it but require unions or some similar structure to protect them from pimps. The job description would be “sex worker”.

The best “structure” to protect sex workers from “pimps” is legalizing and de-stigmatizing their profession. Afford them all the same legal rights that every other profession has.

If a sex worker is being abused by her pimp, let them go to the cops and report it, like I would do if I was being abused by my boss.
