And both sides equally demand ever more?
I think both sides equally demand what benefits them and lobbyists. The wall street is so far removed from main street that whatever demands politicians are making are far removed from what their constituency actually wants.

Labeling one’s political opponents as a disease, is dangerous…that is if one knows history.
Gen X here, and IMO when there are zero foundational truths, the civilization dies. This is what Marxism does; destroys societies like parasites until it resembles the string pullers’ brand of Utopia.
All the insane, fringe lefties have are the traits they were born with, beliefs, and participation trophies from their youth to tout as accomplishments. That’s the critprogs in a nutshell. Useful idiots for the elites who are trying to establish feudalism for the entire planet.

Crits labeled themselves as both a virus and a cancer. Their words.
It’s a strategy, not an insult.

Canada isn’t utopia, if anything they are more like us divided, in the past few elections Trudeau just eeked out a win. Norway can’t be used, countries like Norway and Sweden are very homogeneous (agree more-less division) with a built in tax base. France can’t be used they think woke is a cancer.
Both those countries stood up against illegal migration after their populations said enough and stopped the flood. It never stopped here bringing in more people that take out services than put in money to the social safety net. Every country around the world tried to stem the great migration knowing what will happen our leaders kept it going at a time when we are 130% gdp to debt there is a real scare the dollar might doomed if that happens we will more likely to resemble Yugoslavia than Norway.

Absolutely. I don’t think Canada, Norway or Sweden are some magical utopias. I personally align with their politics in terms of guns, reproductive rights and taxation but European countries are often rigid, anti-entrepreneurial and xenophobic towards anybody but themselves. And yes, immigration is an issue all of these rich nations have to deal with as increasingly people from poorer countries want in.
In any event, these types of threads present the Left (“Critprogs”) as some sort of vast monolith hurtling us towards Venezuelan style Maoist fascist states. Its just silly. Most of the Left want to move towards models that are mostly aligned with the rest of the “West” in terms of liberal democracies. The Right is fighting that. Fair enough.

See the problem?
They are not liberal democracies.
