Why would you want to?

capitalism has, globalism keeps people poor and dependent

Why are those my choices?

I think it is quite arguable they are far more “regressive”.

Perhaps it’s genetic.

Any other wannabe hegemons around?

Sounds a lot like something I’ve heard before.

Globalization is not the same as globalism.

I’m neither Russian nor Chinese.

Everybody wants to be hegemonic.

What’s the difference?

They don’t, most small nations are happy as they are.

I can’t really ever see Norway trying to take over the world.

Which might be shame.

That’s not true at all.

Globalism is planned, globalization just happens.

Capitalism has won, but not because of some shadowy cabal just because it is the least worst option.

Perhaps it would be easier for people in the US if we continued to dominate the world economy, but we need to face reality.

Since the end of the Cold War, the US has grown accustomed to bullying nations with economic sanctions and imposing military solutions on the rest of world. The military loss in Ukraine and the collapse of US interests in Afghanistan show this model is not sustainable.

Why will they become more important? How?

Mighty bold claim. How are you arriving at that conclusion?

Globalism is not the antonym to capitalism.

Dial back the rhetoric please.

They represent 85% of the world’s population, and their economies are growing rapidly.

the eu is norways face in the world… seem to be pretty bent on hegemony to me. this is how the europeans disguise their intent, individually they’re just nice little countries minding their own business. collectively they may be the most aggressively hegemonic institution on the planet

Norway is not in the EU
