Put the your 5 leading dems for 2020 nomination from first to worst

I’d be interested in seeing that. Very few people thought Trump had a chance.

Also I’m not sure, but think Dems may have passed a rule saying a candidate must be a member of the party in order to run. Maybe they have just been talking about it though.

In any case, I think the choices will be far left or the maniac, unless he retires or is impeached. The chances of either of those happening though is very remote,

He runs as a democrat then switches to independent in the past. He would need to stay as a democrat this November to be eligible, but the DNC changing the rules should tell anyone how scared they are of Sanders.

I agree. It seems obvious why the DNC did this, as every other presumed D candidate already is a member of the party.

I certain agree with the 73%. I dont want old and tired. I want a fast nimble young candidate to contrast trump. Harris and Booker fit that to a tee.

Allan

Not Cuomo.

Wouldn’t you like a candidate who might have some appeal outside the Atlantic and Pacific coasts?

I want a candidate who is young and opposes Trump and Trump policies with their very being.
them being popular would be a plus.

Here;s a guys list from CNN (biden on top)

  1. Biden
  2. Warren
  3. Harris
    4, Giilibrand
  4. Sanders

If anyone from my list “rips Donald” I’ll become a Democrat.

Yur list is facical.

If you had taken the question seriously (which I doubt you can be objective enough to handle that task) than we can talk,

Until then continue to post farces.

Allan

As I understand what you typed, yes it is.

When the democrats can be taken seriously, I’ll post a serious list. Till then they are a laughing stock.

When the dems take back the house in November, will you stop laughing…

Allan

I don’t like that list at all.

I want to see Harris or Booker or someone else that isn’t 90 yrs old.

We need youth. Biden, Clinton, and Sanders are too old.

Mark Warner would have been a solid candidate back in 2008. His time has passed. Tim Kaine doesn’t come across as someone who would appeal to the masses.

I need to read up on a few others that might have more general appeal.

Depends. Will they stop doing laughable ■■■■■ Like when Pelosi said we had to pass the bill to find out what’s in it. Or that socialist from NYC. She should be good for plenty of laughs. Her last interview was hilarious.

You seem to be one of the few who get it by mentioning wanting a candidate with broad appeal. That certainly doesn’t apply to Warren and Sanders.

Someone like Mark Warner would have more mainstream appeal.

Thanks Joanne.

For the most part, each base will attract their core group, who will vote based solely on being registered Democrat or Republican. Its that group in the middle that usually determines the winner of the election race. I don’t understand those who want someone like a Bernie Sanders to run. Maybe, just maybe, he’d have a better chance against Trump, but, if Sanders can’t sway the middle groups, then he’s toast.

Look at the winners of the past presidential races -

Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton - all of them were able to get some of the swing vote on their side.

Sometimes I like to go back into my old threads and see where I made mistakes.

My top 5.

  1. Harris—yikes a fresh face, but 100% a political lightweight.
  2. Booker—barely made a name for himself when he had the chance.
  3. Biden—battle tested vet and winner of 2020.
  4. Sanders—too old and not mainstream enough.
  5. Warren—too much baggage for a decent candidate.

Allan

Who are your top five for 2024?

It’s time for Amy Klobuchar to take another swing.
