I believe he’s in the same place as his supporters/believers in his cult & helped all of them get there.

Marxism begat Critical Theory, rightly called Cultural Marxism.
Cultural Marxism begat Critical Legal Theory, which is Marxist lawfare.
Critical Legal Theory begat Critical Race Theory, which is Marxist racism.
Also Queer Theory.
How evil can these all get? There is no good in them to be anything except evil.

Rules, laws, & guidelines are just that, rules, laws & guidelines. It doesn’t need to be more than that.

They are all mechanisms of control.
What is it that Marx did personally that makes him evil?
Not that I agree with your family tree outlined here, but what makes it evil?
Bad trees (Marxism) do not produce good fruit.
But they use Mussolini tactics! Everything leftism has spawned on the country from OWS to ANTIFA/BLM is a fraud!

Marxism doesn’t produce anything.
The actual Italian Fascist movement grew out of the Marxist, having become discouraged about the achievements of socialists and latched onto moderating to become acceptable to the old elites as a way to co-opt them and try to achieve some of socialism’s goals rather than none of them. I’ve chatted with an actual unashamed Marxist who called this kissing up to the landlords, and in his teeny tiny indoctrinated mind he could not see how the basic motive for this change also lay behind Gramsci’s looking to capture institutions to create a new hegemony.
The Italian Fascist (who were bad enough) were only on the “right” compared to the socialist and communist (some notable Communists thought Democrat Socialists were sell out traitors too, as we may witness with Stalin) and no where in the ideological crap storm that is the arc of fascism to communism will you find the Founding Fathers or Adam Smith economics … they exist entirely outside of that spectrum and it is only because of the self serving insistent lies of the “Left” and so-called “progressives” that they are believed by any to be.
As for nationalism somehow being fascistic also understand that the Comintern was designed to deliver the world over to its Soviet masters, and represented a form of imperialism little different than that Mussolini knew, it was just far sneakier and more subversive and, again, replete with self serving deceptions about stateless nonsense designed to pull in weak minded dreamers, self adulating idealists and other useful idiots.
So when AntiFa etc act like fascists, though they may say they’re anarchists, they are really only behaving to type.

That didn’t remotely answer my question. Why is Marxism evil?
Mass graves, state slavery in gulags, poverty, disappearances in the night, famines exasperated by selling off food to buy industrial tools … and so on … Marxism produces quite a lot.
How? Why is the “tree” evil?

Because if produces bad or no fruit.
Are you claiming Marx wrote in support of these things? Is Christianity evil because of the Salem witch trials?
Bad trees are evil? Are they possessed by the devil? Or maybe its just a bad tree? Evil and bad aren’t synonyms.

It is a parable. Somebody will be along to give you the answer, if they don’t I will.
I think you already know.

Are you familiar with the story of how, when he read Darwin, Marx was to have fired off a note to Engels that he’d found a basis in naturalism for their views?
Understand what this implies: the fantasy of Marxism is something that actual human beings are unfit for. But if there can be natural selection there can be unnatural selection too, wherein socialism is enforced until some future time when Man-like beings with a different nature, no longer needing nurture, can live in the fairy story Marx speculated about.
But until then untold generations of humans must suffer an inhuman regime demanded by this ideology, for the Soviets were not in defiance of Marx’s ideals but of a necessary character to chase after them. Even Lysenkoism (essentially the idea that nature can be made more socialistic) can be properly understood as having not fallen far from the tree.
And I will suggest that Marx understood this even early on, as witnessed by his poetry speaking to how he’d sided with the devil.
But if you want to simply talk about the man, the vile and hateful dabbler, look at the fruits of his personal life. He was scum.
