by the degree of regulation.

there shouldn’t be much of it. problem is there’s a lot, in general. and it’s because of a few ruining for the everyone

typical of humanity, really, at this infantile stage in its existence

Interesting. I’m going to respectfully disagree.

do you capitalism should be completely untouched by rules, laws, guidelines?

the left wants to have as much control of it they can get.

The more freedom, the less justice and the more justice, the less freedom.

Absolutely not. My point is rules, laws, guidelines are socialism.

So do the republicans.

laws are still needed in all aspects of society. they shouldn’t be overly constraining.

oh i know. many Republicans lean left, and do lefty things. no argument here.

. . . a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy, and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion.

Interesting. Who does this describe?

A functioning, orderly society which helps workers build a better life is a problem.

I agree. Some level of regulatory socialism is required for balance.

It’s not a lefty thing.

one extra thought… it is always a “lefty” thing imo, when “too much profit” is vilified, or people arent paying their “fair share” which is an absurd notion on its face.

too many rules, regulations, etc are ways the left gets control of more levers and switches they believe THEY know who should have how much, not the system which to some degree has its own checks and balances.

they feel they need to be in control. they dont want other systems, or beliefs or mechanisms marginalizing them. this is a problem with the human psyche. i think it’s at the heart of socialist/communist/fascist systems. at least in big part.

this is what’s behind the climate change scam, and the “woke” cancer that’s eating society…

the vanity of humanity is the root of all calamity.

I wonder where are the organic intellectuals are?

was wondering same.

when your idea of “justice” is “equity”, this is likely true. but justice is not equity.

only if you define “justice” as “equity”.

Well, it’s not like you weren’t always crusading in this direction. It’s good to see you confess it aloud, all the same. Be sure to sack Constantinople on your way to Antioch.

It’s fun when sovcit culture ‘realists’ pretend they understand what an Italian Marxist meant in his personal prison journal.

But, you’re the guys who’ve been misreading Kierkegaard and Nietzsche for generations, so…

in a rarely interesting thought provoking thread about social/economic concepts do you have to immediately lock phasers right on the poster?

“it’s fun…”

really?

The really interesting thing about this thread is the fractal wrongness of all its assumptions. Objectively: interesting.

so you feel the need to come in and ■■■■ all over it

disappointing
