Yes, the Dems had a choice. You never did.

Senators who are more progressive than Booker:
Ossoff, Padilla, Warnock, Lujan, Warren, Merkley, Gillibrand, Hirono, Markey, Sanders, Blumenthal and Schatz. That’s 12, who else you got more Progressive than Booker?

Careful. @TommyLucchese is besties with Booker. Or something.
The entire party has been hijacked by the far left. JFK would not stand a chance in today’s democratic party.

Medicare for all is a stupid premise.
I like my private health insurance, thank you.
Now if you leave me alone, I am onboard but trying to buttonhole all citizens into one plan for all is a bad idea for America.
We have a long history of choosing what is best for the individual citizen.
If you want to subsidize private insurance I am all for it.
But not a buttonhole solution.

I knew him before and when he was mayor of Newark. Believe it or not, long shot candidates running against one of the most corrupt and entrenched mayors in America aren’t super inaccessible in political circles.
Same way I’ve known John Fetterman for fifteen years from when he was a long shot mayoral candidate for a depressed industrial suburb and now he’s lieutenant governor and probably the next senator from Pennsylvania in 2022.
It’s really quite easy to meet politicians.

You have great insurance, as you are part of a union.
That is great.
Unions have been decimated since the 80’s. You are one of the lucky ones.
Every study shows a single payer system is the most effective manner to provide heath care, and the most cost effective.
Both FDR and Truman supported a single payer system. Seems the Democratic party from the 40’s is more progressive than many if the party today.

I understand that I am lucky but any solution must include the lucky ones. I can’t imagine the union workers who overwhelmingly supported biden would want to lose their insurance that they have worked for via collective bargaining.
My insurance is tremendous and has been for the 34 years that I have worked for the big company.
Really would suck losing it.

That’s not how public policy works.
Better never means better for everyone.

I like the public policy that is in place right now.
Don’t ■■■■ with my health insurance.

What you like is irrelevant. What you voted for is at hand.

Same. AOC should be the first one to sign herself up for Medicare if she loves it that much. Don’t tinker with my insurance. But they won’t be able to resist. They must get their grubby hands on everything.
