It is an easy study… if one were to look at it one would see that the economy of Venezuela has nearly nothing in common with the economy of the US.
That is the fundamental problem with constantly stoking fear that the US will end up like that country… it won’t.

Not going to worry about the Nixon vs Venezuela deflection. It doesn’t matter because PRICE CONTROLS are wrong in every case, whether tried by Socialist/Communist nations or whether a misguided attempt by the leader in a Capitalist nation.
And for the record, I oppose all price controls, including the minimum wage, though pragmatically it is not going away. I also oppose anti-price gouging laws, rent control and anything else remotely connect to price controls.

I’m surprised mine hasn’t risen yet.
But I think my area being provided by nuclear power is insulating us for now. But that won’t last forever, since uranium has to be delivered on specially prepared trucks and diesel is going to hit an average of 6 bucks per gallon sometime soon if the fuel crisis doesn’t start to recede.
We will be seeing rising rates at anytime now.
Bernie Sanders wrote Joe Biden’s “unity” platform. He’s praised Venezuela previously and even received Maduro’s endorsement, so it shouldn’t be any surprise that the Democratic Party would want to emulate that style of governance.

Is that why liberals are pushing this garbage that overturning Roe is going to kill women? Is that why they constantly preach how evil Republicans will throw you off of Social Security? The racist accusations. The tax the rich mantra? … I find it hilarious that a leftist thinks Republicans are the ones engaged in fear mongering. In case you missed it, we have a SERIOUS set of issues that have come upon us in the past 15 months. HUGE inflation (Yes, Trump was part of that for the stimulus and not fighting shut downs), illegals swarming the border, supply chain issues, $30 TRILLION in debt, a nuclear power at war with someone we promised to protect under Obama…morons in DC that continue to double down on bad policy…
