Great speech, but you won’t get any sort of acknowledgement about that here @toreyj01
I mean just look at the clown they support and then compare it to the criticisms they lodge against Biden…the mental disconnect is a chasm

Did he string together a whole sentence without looking and sounding not all there?
Remarkable for him if so.
Well, I think he has serious competition in this election.
When I think of Presidential behavior during times of crisis I don’t think Republican or Democrat. Bush was superb during 9/11 and his popularity was over 80-90% immediately afterwards, we came together as a nation.
A good President knows when to lead, when to listen and what to say to make things even a little bit better for those affected. He doesn’t teargas people for a photo op. Oh, and it has been confirmed Barr ordered that. Apparently he was supposed to do it earlier but the crowd was too thick and he couldn’t wait another half hour.
All the time I am listening to Biden speak, I was thinking of this place. About how so many people here called him addled or incompetent. His speech today was better than anything Trump has put out, ever. And if that means Biden just has a better speech writer, then perhaps Trump should hire the person.
But there is the rub, Trump hates giving speeches. He slurs and mumbles his way through. He likes to riff and improvise and that is not what is needed right now. We have 100k dead from COVID, we have 40 million job losses in 3 months, we have riots on the street. Where is Trump? What is he doing?
Teargassing clergy so he can pose in front of their church? Really? Is that the best we can do?
He needs to take notes here and follow Biden’s lead, follow Biden’s suggestions.
But he won’t, you know it and I know it.

I didn’t nor will I vote for Trump.
I just like kabuki.
This post has nothing to do with what I was quoted on. And Biden made zero money while in office, he was the poorest Senator when he became Veep, worth less than a million dollars including his house.

What is there to discuss?
Platitudes and a 50 year record of getting us to where we are.

I provided a link to the speech, watch it for yourself.

Thanks for posting that torey, really good speech. I like that he doesn’t need to resort to calling others childish names or mocking others in order to prop himself up. This is what Americans want in a president. Not a person who has to constantly bark about himself.

Holy mackerel…Googles is business removing Biden supporters looting from it’s search request or whatever they do to filter them out.
I think there is a striking difference on approach between the two men.
I think Biden creates and sets a better tone to diffuse the situation we are currently in.
And I thought it would lead to an interesting thread. If you care not to discuss it, so be it.

Plain old white yogurt. Not even vanilla.
Thanks, Lucy
I found him humble and compassionate. Empathetic and encouraging.
And patriotic. He really loves this country. He wants us to heal. Sometimes we need to hear that instead of words intended to further divide us.

I don’t.
He sounds like a victim.
Even Cuomo is ready to end this absurdity.
Watch it and see…Trump could take a few lessons from it.

I think he likes Burisma more.
He acted for them…

With black people? Are you kidding?
Yeah, he’s racist. Ask his old boss.
