Evidently, somebody bugged the hell out of Trump long enough.

As a mark of respect for the memory and longstanding service of Senator John Sidney McCain III, I hereby order, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, on the day of interment. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half‑staff for the same period at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-seventh day of August, in the year of our Lord two thousand eighteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-third.

DONALD J. TRUMP

I suspect that blowback from some vets’ groups caused him to reconsider his original inclination on this.

That must have hurt his ego.

He was also getting a number of angry communications from Senators of both parties.

Sarah Sanders did a pretty good job on that.

The reaction here was totally predicted. You guys are getting boring. Please, continue to let that hatred eat you up inside.

People really should be more gratified that Trump was bullied by Congress and veteran’s groups into putting out a statement written by his press secretary and lowering the flag again.

At this point in time it is too little too late.

I said it before, the best and most respectful thing he could have done was remain totally silent, no tweets, no proclamations, no lying Sarah Huckabee Sanders trying to pretend he cared.

That would have been the best and the most the scum sucking Trump could have done.

Donald Trump already showed the world who he was in regards Senator John McCain.

That piece of garbage is a sad little man in every sense of the word.

I imagine being able to make himself sound most kingly with that proclamation took some of sting out of that ass chap.

Vets gave him a wake up call.

“A man with no enemies is a man with no character.”

Run with that.

So quoting a liberal hollywood actor?

Irony!

I thought so too. But a broken clock is still right twice a day.

Besides, I thought there was a better chance of you listening to one of your own.

One of my own? A male human?

No matter what he does, liberals love to whack at him. I notice that threads here, concentrate on bashing Trump, who 10 years ago liberals thought was the worst person on earth. Much more liberal input on how horrible Trump is rather than just saying how sad it is that McCain lost his life, after decades of service. Can’t just say that I guess. Let’s use his death to bash Trump.

Libs are hauling McCain’s dead body around and using his arms to hit Trump. They are so respectful.
