Another distinguishing characteristic: there’s never any regret or acknowledgement of reality.

So, for example, Barack Obama makes his “Like your doctor, keep your doctor” claim. The ACA rolls out. He gets called out for the claim. He makes a public acknowledgement and apologizes. Reality asserts itself.

Trump never does this. In fact, he goes to elaborate lengths to fabricate an alternative reality after the fact of his lying, as in the case of his totally insane, unsupported voter-fraud lies. He creates this (now discredited and disbanded) voter integrity commission (headed by inexplicably dunderheaded stumblebum and all-around dip**** Kris Kobach), a committee aka the most bizarre thing I’ve ever been a part of, that’s designed to retroactively validate Trump’s outrageous and nonsensical lie.

Con men never admit that they lie. It’s like a Ponzi scheme of lying.

Also some of the promises he made is dependent on cooperation of both houses. Therefore, at this point are those lies or unfulfilled campaign promises?

Looking at Obama’s politifact record his unfulfilled campaign promisies are listed as lies - but are they?

Are unfulfilled campaign promises lies if the candidate is unable to fulfill that promise or is it N unfulfilled promise? There is a difference, is there not?

That’s not how trade deficits work. Not even remotely. A trade deficit isn’t a pile of money you can use to buy other stuff, it’s how much less of their things we buy than they do of our things. Lowering the deficit doesn’t produce money to pay for a stupid wall - it just means they’re buying more from us. The Government doesn’t get any of that.

I’m no economist, but this is super basic stuff. I don’t know if Trump specifically told you that lie, or if you’re just parroting something said by stupid people.
