Thats the crux- he’s telling banks he’s worth billions to get low interest loans but only wants it valued cheaper to pay paltry property taxes. Cant have it both ways…

Judging from restate values for that area, and what other homes have sold. My guess its between 700 million to maybe 1 billion. It sites on 17 plus acres in some of most primed restate in the country.
Well… If one reads the judgement one would see that the Palm Beach Tax Assessor valued Mar-a-Lago at between $18 Million and $27 Million and the Trump Org agreed with with that valuation.
They used one valuation to pay taxes on and a different much higher valuation to secure loans.
So… that is bad.
No- its valued by the government and is assessed property taxes based on that. If it was truly worth 700 million to a billion- or 1.8 billion- the property tax would be astronomically higher.
My tax district says my home is worth 442k
zillow says my home is worth 547k

Only if you try to secure loans based on that higher value.
So if I tried to get a loan and told the lender “zillow says the property is worth 547k”, that is fraud? Really?
There is no doubt tax assessor under valued the property…but that’s on THEM…not Trump.
Just about every single house is under valued…and I bet even your if you own a home.

You can’t use one number to set tax value and another to set a value to borrow against.
The numbers have to be the same or that is fraud.
