Prediction for after the election

The right takes control of Congress and slowly starts to recover the economy.

Then in 2023-24: “re-elect Folksy Joe! He fixed our economy from the damage Trump did in his term!!”

I want to look at this topic again later.

More likely it’s too late to fix it and they will try and blame the new republican congress for the train wreck democrats engineered.

If Republicans don’t take the Senate, it’s bad news. The best we’ll get is gridlock.

If Republicans take both Houses back, they can at least get less ■■■■■■ judge appointments than the donkey dung being appointed over the last 2 years.

This isn’t crazy. In fact, it’s the Clinton and Obama playbook to a T. Get elected, lose the mid-terms and then get re-elected.

Congressional Republican candidates are running on the Economy, Crime and Inflation. If elected and (hopefully) both houses become Republican majorities, they will begin the work of making a positive impact on these campaign promises. Not sure what a Republican Congress can do to slam the southern border door shut but hopefully that debacle can come to an end.
There are US Senators and Reps that have made no secrets about settling some scores. Impeaching Mayorkas, Garland and maybe a couple more Cabinet members. Launching a criminal investigation :face_with_raised_eyebrow: into the Hunter Biden/ Big Guy connection. Parading in the FBI whistleblowers to find out what the ■■■■ is the FBI doing and who is running that ■■■■ show.
These are all good intentions but the citizenry wants to see affordable fuel, groceries and consumable goods.
They’re saying people up in the North are already paying twice the amount for home heating oil and the phrase “heat or eat” is getting a lot of attention.
Every winter people die from cold and exposure. J’Biden is not going to be very popular this winter with cold and hungry people.

Yeah…all predictions showing 2023 economy in the crapper. And you’re right, repugs will be blamed for it.

When have they ever? They will do what they always do; investigate, hearings, crying.

They won’t govern.

Explain exactly in what ways Congress can fix the economy all by itself.

  1. Stop pissing away money in places like the Ukraine.

  2. Shut up and get out of the way.

Remove the handcuffs J’Biden and his doofusses put on the energy sector.

Settling scores is not what our elected reps should be focused on (neither side) It doesnt do anything for the greater good of America.

I dont care if its a Republican or a Democrat elected focus on trying to make a positive difference otherwise we end up in this eternal tit for tat battle.

Great comment. The 01/06 commission is a great example of this. I have no doubt that when all is said and done nothing changes of comes out of it.

Their committees, hearings etc no matter the topic result in ■■■■ all.

It’s possible to build and remove hazardous debris from a work site at the same time.

That seems to be the only thing the current admin can concentrate. I don’t see any condemnation, I see nothing but approval and applause.
