An unknown explosive device detonated on a beach near Long Island NY. Authorities believe it may be a detonation test for a larger possible terrorism event. The blast left a 4 ft wide by 2 foot deep crater. A speed boat was seen leaving the scene of the vicinity of the blast.

Not good at all. Lets hope it doesn’t get tied back to someone who crossed the Southern Border.
I think the odds are quite a bit higher that this was some dumb kids, rather than international terrorists.

I went back and read the article again - and I didn’t see any authorities say that.
I saw that they wouldn’t rule it out, but that’s not the same thing at all.
With the endless wars brigade back in power, peace can’t last.

That is why they are investigating, because it may be something more. I do hope your theory of kids playing with explosives is all it is, but don’t believe it will be that.

Yep. We used to make bombs like this all the time when we were kids. Probability some grampa has been telling stories about his youthful escapades to the grand kids again.
