It’s a profession that sadly attracts thugs and bullies.
We need Peace Officers not gov’t enforcers, if you need a militarized response bring in the national guard.
Our loal mayor and several of our city council members exemplify the problem. They keep threatening to shut down the local PD completely because they don’t generate enough revenue through tickets.
They are even threatening to unseat our local city judge because he’s not giving maximum fines to everyone that comes before him.
I have some issues with our PD but this is not only illegal it’s not something peace officers want to be a part of so if the mayor and his goons succeed they’ll likely all be replaced eventually by thugs/bullies with badges and a “judge” who’s sole purpose is to collect revenue rather than dispensing justice.
PD has become a gang in my opinion. They stick together and never report the bad apples. They need to improve their recruitment process. Raise the standard of hiring. Not lowering them. They also need to be held accountable - firing, criminal charges. Don’t like it? Don’t become a cop.
You mean, according to your article in the second one, that they called her TWICE to let her know they were coming, and she hung up on them both times. So they go to the house and she refused to open the door for nearly a half hour. THEN you have a problem with them being worried about what she might do when they get in so they may or may not have had guns.
Shouldn’t she have, when they called the first time, talked to them, and told them she would co-operate?
So it was appropriate for her to hand up on them when told they had a court issued search warrant? Appropriate for her to refuse to open the door for almost a half hour? Come on Sneaky.
Oh BS. Cop just wanted to humiliate Daniels because he was on some power trip. There was not reason to have him crawl like some ■■■■■■■ dog. Other cop that was there could have just as easily walk up and handcuffed him after Danial’s was laying down on hall floor face down.
Yes. When I worked at animal rescue league years ago…yes I done that for while. I responded to call from police where they shot the family dog…and they were at wrong house.
There was a story about where dogs are often the victim of police shootings. Thousands of pets are shot by police every year.
And it’s not just the police…it’s law enforcement through all levels of government.
Remember that old man from New Jersey with that old flintlock pistol? The Sheriff let him go…day later 5 cop cars shown up to confiscation old man relic. Thank God Chris Christie stepping in. Old man was retired School teacher if my memory serves me correct.
Why? Because overzealous prosecutor.
So yeah…don’t think for one moment they won’t come for your guns if libs order them too.
As I said I have some serious issues with how they handled it. That was a clear abuse of power, purposely trying to humiliate them both because for some reason they showed up pissed off.
