This story reveals an inside look at what can happen when children are brought into the world without the love and guidance necessary to raise them into adulthood. It also reveals are current society and at the rate I’m witnessing things like this, it’s getting worse, not better.

Little kids?
12 and 14 isn’t a “little” kid.
They are old enough to know there are consequences to committing crime.
Probably not mentored well enough to understand that they will suffer consequences for committing crime.

Discipline and learning consequences of bad behavior is a part of being a responsible parent as well.
Yeeee haw Texas…Lets make it easier to get guns. We need more responsible gun owners like this.

That’s right! Thank god there was a god loving gun owner around to help teach the lesson.

What a shame that their parents weren’t around to help teach them “the lesson” you speak of.

How do you know the gun owner is God loving? Is that what you associate gun owners with, God?

Is that supposed to be some kind of benchmark that makes me go… ohhhhh

Years ago, I took the class and received my conceal/carry but I told my wife I will not carry a gun at this time. She asked why because I’ve been around guns and an avid hunter my whole life? I told her because I’m too irresponsible. I forget where I put my keys, my phone or my wallet…I can only imagine if I left a gun somewhere and a child got hurt as a result, I’d never forgive myself. I concluded that this was a greater probability of happening vs me being placed into a situation where I needed a gun. That said, I told her way back then that if the world changed enough, I’d start carrying. As of late, I’m reconsidering carrying a gun. Our country is going downhill…fast and it’s painful to witness but if this crosses my path with the intent of doing me or one of my loved ones harm, I fully intend to do everything possible to stop it. How unfortunate that it’s come to this…but it has.

It’s that small thinking that is complicit in our current problems. Look beyond today and at the horizon, where the road originally diverged…can you?

I’m just thankful someone had an AK-47 in their house to steal. That’s all.

You ignore that someone broke into an individual’s house and stole his legal property, smashed up his furniture and then turned on the police with gunfire. That really is a screwed up mind. Carry on…

I would require safe storage of firearms, and I would attach liability to stolen guns stored improperly.

No, no I don’t. I celebrate the freedom that the gun owner enjoyed and value it above all else.

Thank you. What is “safe storage”?
