I would agree with your first four words but that last seven words is where we quibble. But if we didn’t, of what use this forum?

Go visit Venezuela or Cuba.

Haha, not thanks, unless you pay. But I would consider them gross aberrations of contemporary liberals ideas and ideals.

They are actually more the rule than the exception. Russia, China.

Norway is the exception.

Where exactly should a 12 year old boy be? The chest in the attic?

Not riding around in a car pointing a gun at people.

I need to start hanging out with different lefty friends. My lefty friends are pretty well-to-do free market loving entrepreneurs who are tight with Dem leadership. The worst they’ll tolerate is the annoying social/canceling culture whose sun will set soon :crossed_fingers:. But government ownership of their stuff? Puffy dictators? Juntas? Not even close.

It’s on a scale. Your friends aren’t in charge.

…some are.

Nah, it’s incremental.

Yeah, not buying that the owner of the house and guns is in any way liable here. Bit of a stretch.

This is how secured those guns were.

Grow up and use some critical thinking.

I believe the laudable, yet at times ridiculous, zest for personal freedoms we Americans possess, on all sides, will prevent anything really scary from happening.

You would think a first world country would ban people from busting into a house and stealing guns.

How so?

Now I can’t argue with that.

People in this thread have insinuated that the man who had his house burglarized and two guns stolen should be somehow liable for the event.

I don’t have to lock my doors to expect people not to break into my home. Any more than I need to build a thirty foot unclimbable fence around my pool. And just about every home may as well be secured with a cheeto, given the large majority of them have windows on the ground floor.
