This is a crazy story out of Florida. 2 runaways broke into a home. They found AK47 and shotgun. Ended up in a shootout with police. The 14 year old girl got shot. No cops hurt. Don’t know if what to make of this.

Thank goodness there were no deaths and kudos to the police for handling this situation so well.

The foster care system, at least in this case, failed. They probably get a good bit of funding but is it being used appropriately?

Some kids you simply cannot save from themselves. The police did an excellent job. I am grateful none of them were harmed.

The boy from what I heard was a very violent person. Sheriff said he should have never been in foster care.

I think this one is even worse. Dad gives in to his son who wants to do a drive by shooting with his paintball gun. Kid ends up getting shot by someone who returned fire.

Ran over him with the van after he was shot and took him home. Wife called 911.

He was 16 when his son was born.

Sounds like the kid has a great future in front of him :roll_eyes:

Dad just wants son to be a chip off the ol block.

Ya know, instead of teaching him responsible gun ownership, or teaching him math, or any number of other productive things. Taking the kid fishing.

The kids are ■■■■■■ because of the parents. That’s 90% of the problem. Either they aren’t there, or they’re idiots.

Thank God that homeowner was free to buy an AK 47 and not be required to store it properly! This story just confirms how awesome the US is. Yay America!
