Things that make you say…hmmmmmm.
The documents don’t say if Ross was paid for his board seat or whether there is any current financial relationship between Ross and the joint venture. It’s also unclear if Ross knew that he remained on the board seat: The more recent documents don’t include the signatures or seals of the individual board members. That Chinese documents state Ross was on the board of a Chinese joint venture until 2019 has not been previously reported.
There’s the headline…those that eat and regurgibleet here in Hannity Land what they ate and then there’s the actual information with in the article, that is the out for the author…probably because what’s being fed, isn’t all the way true.
We need a Senate that does its job. In this case, one that takes confirmations more seriously that electioneering. The constitution isn’t going to protect the Republic unless it is used.
The Senate is doing its job. The will of the senators. A constitutional amendment to make elected officials and appointed officials divest all their money into a saving account would fix the problem of this topic.

This is in any other administration would have ended Wilbur Ross.
It is stuff like this that makes the stpry really believable… it isn’t like it is coming out of nowhere.

I don’t care which side of the aisle you’re on, if you’re profiting due to advance knowledge that is not available to the public, from your political position…you should be jailed. I remember years ago when Congress was exposed on 60 Minutes for doing this and so they made it illegal. If I remember correctly, in less than a year, that was reversed. It’s this kind of corruption…I absolutely despise…period.

The pre-hearing dismissal of any consideration of the emoluments clause doesn’t sound like the Senate is doing its job. But it does show that changing the constitution won’t do anything unless the Senate puts country above party. (BTW, why doesn’t the emoluments clause as it exists sufficient for this case.)

Very possible you are talking about a pipe dream as a Trump win again very likely means
the Republicans keep at least control of the Senate too.
At this point the absolute best case scenario for the Senate is the GOP losing three or four seats.

Even losing three its a tie and a Trump administration continuing on has the sitting VP( Pence) casting any tie breaker votes.
