House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi received more bad news this week, with a new Gallup poll showing her approval rating at a nine-year low among members of her own party.

According to the survey, just 55% of Democrats approve of Pelosi’s job performance; raising serious questions about her leadership and political future following the highly-contested 2018 midterm elections.

“Pelosi has a 55% favorable rating among Democrats. This percentage matches the lowest favorability recorded for her in 2009 among her own party. Over the past 10 years, her rating among Democrats reached a high of 66% several times,” says the survey.

The poll comes days after several Democratic challengers refused to support Pelosi as Speaker of the House should their party retake control of Congress this fall.

What really matters is her approval rating among her constituents. And that has been too darn high.
