Monday night’s annual Emmy Awards broadcast on NBC took a major ratings nosedive as Hollywood’s biggest stars slammed President Trump, blasted Republicans, and turned the ceremony into a full-fledged political rally.

According to the Wrap, the show dropped a stunning 10% from last year’s ratings; reaching an all-time low with a 7.4 household reach. The drop echoes similar numbers for the Oscars, which plunged 16% during last year’s broadcast.

Last year, the 69th annual Emmys on CBS hosted by Stephen Colbert dipped 2.4 percent from the prior year to a new low, per Nielsen’s household ratings,” writes the Wrap.

The star-studded event got political within minutes.

“My mother is not watching,” said hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost. “She says she doesn’t like watching white award shows because you guys don’t thank Jesus enough.”

He continued, “That’s true. The only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads.”
