The U.S. Census Bureau just released its updated state populations from the 2020 census, and the results were not good for Missouri. Over the past decade,

Over the past decade, Missouri’s population grew by only about 160,000 residents, or 2.8 percent. This growth badly trails the national rate of 7.4 percent and every neighboring state except for Illinois. In fact, only eleven states in the country experienced less population growth than Missouri. Missouri dropped one spot in total population rank, from 18th to 19th. This is a significant decline from the state’s high-water mark of 5th at the turn of the 20th century.

I still am pretty skeptical of that whole empty shelves thing. I have also noticed that, and that supply chains have dropped from headline conservative grievance status. It makes me suspect that it was largely manufactured.

They realized that there’s nothing manly about crying ugly tears every time a crane operator in California takes a lunch break. Keep it up too long, and people start realizing how dependent they are on the most liberal state.

Very nice I love Monterey, I grew up in North County and Pendelton is right next to the city of Oceanside.

It was a rough town back in the 90’a but you wouldn’t know it now.

It was very pretty, but very cool temps. That 5,000 drop off in Monterey Bay makes for some pretty cool temps. Used to run PT every afternoon along Ocean View out to Lover’s Point and back. Right past fisherman’s wharf and overlooking the bay.

Then I’d go home to Ft Ord.

Good times, half a lifetime ago.
