No, that’s not it. Think bigger.
Issues are only a small part of the picture as a whole.

My list reflects that. I am ready to learn.
Social climate - general, local, etc. Campaign GOTV actions. World events. Everything that happens.
Each of those categories can be further broken down, endlessly

Oh I disagree. You can scratch GOTV right off the list. They happen every election.
I agree current evemts/emotions have an impact, but there are events/crises in every election.
I think what you are calling “bigger” is actually smaller.

The point is that Trump has made his position clear, obviously, by selecting a nominee. Biden won’t say he will pack the court and wont say he wont pack the court.
Its like Pelosi and the ACA. Vote for Biden and find out.
No thanks.

Biden can’t pack the court. If congress opens up vacancies, of course he would nominate to fill them.
No, you definitely can’t scratch GOTV off the list. Of course every campaign tries to get their voters out - but how they do it - the decisions they make, the resources devoted and strategy specific to every targetted area - can be - and has been - determinative in many elections.
I used to do this for a living.

Of course. But he can recommend that the Senate and House allow the court to be packed or he can come out publicly against their doing that.
Of course. And those crises and events can - and have had - arguably have more of an impact on turnout (and thus, the election) than any actions taken by the candidates or the campaigns.

Which would make zero difference as everyone knows he would nominate.
He’s not The Decider.
Desperation time. Your guy is losing and in the hospital with covid.
There is no way a politician will ever answer the question that was posed.
Grasping at straws, hoping for a miracle.

How are you going to fit that in BoR’s without flipping the purpose for it?
I don’t understand what you’re asking.
We are discussing factors relating to Democratic voter turnout.
Of the candidate? Or the voter?
I would say that the age of the candidate has little to do with turnout.

My mistake then…for some reason I though you were talking about amendment process.
Too many other thoughts going through my mind.

Biden doesn’t have to make his position clear. Everyone knows a court packing move is likely if he wins and gets a Dem Senate. And they can somewhat control that likelihood. They can’t with Trump…they can only punish him and the GOP for doing something they were against.
So my calculus still stands
